Last week, Jess and I got to spend time with Chuck Allen at the Urban Scholastic Center in Kansas City, KS. The USC is an amazing organization that is trying to change a culture. As they work with young kids in the city they know that the impact will be felt most if they can change the hearts of the parents.
On February 28, I taught from Hebrews 11 at SouthWoods Christian Church. I really felt that Chuck’s story reflected Moses’ choice to work alongside his people instead of enjoying the luxury that could have come from being Pharoh’s daughter’s son. Listen to Chuck as he took a leap of faith to head back to that place he had always wanted to get away from in his youth.
