How Could I Not Tell Ya – February 22, 2010

22 02 2010

Incredible things are happening in the Kingdom.  Are you hearing and seeing the move of God?  Wow.  Here’s some things I’m seeing:

  • First online study for 33 Church was posted yesterday.  Check it out on our 33 Homes Page.
  • First Christian Church in Urbana, IL had 47 baptisms yesterday.  That’s incredible.  I can’t wait for God to build stories like that in 33 Church.
  • Jesus could have crushed the woman at the well in John 4:1-26. Instead, he told her she could worship God.  I love grace!!!
  • Jess Hinton is a Rock Star!!!  Not because she plays on big stages but because she’s so passionate about the things God has gifted her in.  This woman is going to change the world with us…Who’s in?
  • Reed’s got one last basketball game next Saturday.  He tells me he wishes basketball would continue for the rest of his life.
  • I’m being challenged to dream about the future of 33 Church.  Please pray that I dream with people who are also big dreamers and believe that God can do anything He wants.
  • Perry Noble at NewSpring Church said that 35 people surrendered their lives to Christ yesterday.  How long will it take for 33 Church to be sharing such stories?  6 months?  A Year?  When?
  • I’ll be preaching this Sunday at Southwoods Christian Church.  If you’re in JoCo come on down and join us for one of the services this Sunday.  The sermon is called “Overcoming Belief.”
  • God really desires for you to be loving and compassionate to that person in the office next to yours, or that person driving down the street ahead of you, or that neighbor that makes you want to pull your hair out.
  • If you haven’t watched the Olympics with Sara Nelson and Jess Hinton then you haven’t really experienced the Olympics to their fullest.
  • Yeah, I totally exposed some of my trash in the Online Study last night.  It’s amazing how freeing transparency in Christ is.  I really don’t feel like I need to  impress you.  What do I have?  I’m a mess.
  • I really hope I get more sleep after the Olympics end.  I’m staying up way to late watching them.
  • 33 Serve kicks off one week from today.  Please, please, please go to the website and check it out–www.33serve.com.   We need to care about the people around us.

Um, if you haven’t had the opportunity to hang out with Sara you haven’t gotten to experience life to the fullest. She is the best!

I miss her. Can’t you bring her to Texas soon?

I love your posts by the way. And I love that Reed is doing is great at basketball, I would love to see him play.
