Here are some highlights from the weekend. God is so good. Find a place to tell people about it today.
- OK, so it’s been many months of anticipation, but Jess Hinton is here. For those of you who don’t know, we have an incredible woman that has left her secure job in Marshalltown, IA to take a leap of faith and find some part-time work here in Olathe so she can help us build this church. Perhaps there are others out there ready to make that leap. Jess is an incredible example of faith. You need to get to know her. Here’s a place to start.
- I beg you to pray for Jess as she settles into this new community and life. Help her to thrive as she gives God the glory. You can shoot her a message of encouragement or even send her a prayer at jess@33church.com.
- This past week I was so blessed by meeting so many incredible people. I was able just to build relationships and learn more about what the pulse of this community is. I truly believe I’ve developed some friendships that will be around for the rest of my life. Wow, there are some amazing people here.
- My son may be the Dennis Rodman of 1st grade Upward Basketball – Before you draw to many conclusions let me explain that it’s not because he’s a freak-show and angry, but because he loves playing defense. Offense…well, not so much. Next Game, this Saturday at 9 AM. Go Pumas!!!
- Brad Fangman is a stud and preaches the word without shying away from untouchable topics.
- You can become a fan of 33 Church on Facebook by clicking here and signing up.
- Join in on our continued discussion from last night’s study on our Facebook discussion page. Even if you weren’t there feel free to join in.
- I was really challenged by the realization that John 3:16-21 is really more about God than it is about me. Don’t miss the beginning of verse 16 and the end of verse 21.
- Do you live for the light or escape from it into the darkness (John 3:19-21)?
- I love the fact that every single person stayed an extra hour-and-a-half after group just to hang and enjoy the company of our group and watch the game. I love these people.
- I refused to cheer for the Vikings. However, I did cheer for Favre’s team. Favre is a stud. He got the snot beat out of him last night but he kept getting up.
- Something tells me the emotional side hurts a lot more this morning than the physical. Two of the last three years he’s lead his teams (2008-Packers and 2010-Vikings) to the NFC Championship game and lost the games in overtime. Ouch!
- I’m really falling in love with Olathe and the Metro area. Thank you God for bringing me to this place!!!!!
- Have I told you that I really believe we’re going to change the world? Who’s coming with me?
Go and be the light. God bless.
